Strathcona offers a comprehensive curriculum which includes the development of student’s skills in many areas such as Science, Mathematics, English, Humanities, Languages, Digital Technologies, the Arts and Performing Arts. Students can choose one Language from our Language offerings of French and Chinese. Focusing on a single language allows for students to gain a stronger grasp of linguistic and cultural understanding in their chosen Language.  

The focus of one Language for our students also allows for more class time to be devoted to their chosen language as well as additional time to develop students’ digital literacy and technological understanding in our digital technology subject.  

In addition, for students who require additional support with English will have the option to undertake English as an Additional Language (EAL) instead of English.
